ABOUT Yoga Lila

“All of creation is divinely danced into existence for the simple delight and the play of embodying the Supreme's own blissful nature.” – John Friend

Through the process of embodiment, we forget our essential nature. This forgetting not only leads to great suffering within our own experience, but it, by its’ own nature, perpetuates a paradigm of pain. Yoga is the Universal process of remembrance. It is through remembering our true nature that we are given permission to dance play As we mature, we often lose permission to freely celebrate our true nature, that we dance through the play ground of life.  This dance is not one of denial, for there is pain, but this is a dance of unconditional grace that celebrates our greatest moments and cares us through the most challenging.

The Sanskrit word lila can mean many things, but it is generally translated as play. For us, the yoga room is a spiritual playground, which gives freedom to return to wholeness and a more fulfilled experience.

We courageously ignite our childlike nature transcending our own resistance and embrace the playful spirit within.
